As part of Czech Space Week 2026, Space4Women returns for its ninth edition to challenge stereotypes and shine a spotlight on the women shaping the future of the space sector.
The space industry may still seem like a predominantly male world. Yet many successful women – scientists, engineers, managers, entrepreneurs and other professionals – are actively pushing its boundaries and contributing to its future.
Space4Women is an inspiring talk show bringing together women from across the space sector to share their personal stories, career journeys, experiences and perspectives on what it means to build a career in space.
This year’s guests, Claire Elss, Maria Fernández Molinero, Lenka Mikešová and Pavla Hubálková, will discuss their career paths in space law, European policy, research and science communication. They will share their achievements and the obstacles they have encountered along the way. How did they find their way into their professions, and what advice would they give to those just starting out? The discussion will offer a behind-the-scenes look at their work and reveal the many different paths that can lead to space.
The evening’s special guest will be Frank De Winne, head of Europe’s astronauts, who will offer insights into how to become an astronaut and what working with astronauts involves. The evening will be hosted by the Rector of Brno University of Technology.
Join us on 2 November 2026 for an evening of inspiring conversations and personal stories in the unique setting of Planetarium Prague.
The event will be held in English.
