DESCRIPTION:The Prague Security Studies Institute invites you to the Second PSSI Roundtable on Indo-Pacific Space Security Partnerships. The event will take place online through Zoom on Monday, November 27, 2023, between 1:00pm – 2:30pm Prague time (Central European time).\nThe first, March 2022, roundtable on “Indo-Pacific Space Security Partnerships”, entitled “European – Indo-Pacific Partnership on Space Security”, sought to capture the space power dynamic in the region, with a particular focus on targeted economic & financial outreach initiatives of China and the implications for Europe and its Indo-Pacific strategy.\nThis second iteration of the roundtable will explore some of the particulars of the new global space race, from the perspectives of key actors in the Indo-Pacific region, against the backdrop of the wars in Europe and the Middle East, the rapidly evolving Iranian and North Korean nuclear and missile threats and the continued assertiveness of China globally.\nOur five distinguished speakers will include:\n\nDr. Malcolm Davis, Senior Analyst, Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), Australia\nDr. Namrata Goswami, Professor, Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University, U.S.\nMr. Hermann Ludwig Moeller, Director, European Space Policy Institute\nDr. Rajeswari Pillai Rajagopalan, Director of the Centre for Security, Strategy and Technology (CSST) at the Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi, India\nDr. Kazuto Suzuki, Professor of Science and Technology Policy at the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo, Japan.\n\n \nThe panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Jana Robinson, Managing Director, Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI).\nPlease confirm your registration here ( https://pssi.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fa27cf496650876a884addedf&id=eb05f8951d&e=ecf563c703 ) by Friday 24.
